City Lit Project - "Body Type"

May 24, 2007

A friend and former publishing colleague, Ina Saltz, has written an extraordinary book called Body Type: Intimate Messages Etched in Flesh. Ina is a New York based graphic artist, designer, and professor at CCNY. She is intensely interested in typography and calligraphy, which ultimately led her to explore type in tattoos. She uncovered a rich and diverse art form, which she documents in Body Type.

Body Type by Ina SaltzIna appears in Baltimore on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at the Baltimore Tattoo Museum in one of the City Lit Project's "eat between the lines" fundraisers. The museum is located at 1534 Eastern Avenue and Ina's event is 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Light refreshments, beer, and wine are included in the $35 admission fee. Click on the book to the left for a full-sized flier or on one of the other links in this section for more information.

More details about Ina's book can be found at its Web site, www.bodytypebook.com.

Ina is a delightful and energetic speaker.  I have no doubt you will enjoy her talk and be surprised by the book, which will be available for sale and autographing.
